Wrinkles Shar Pei dogs no more or less as they age?
I have a Shar Pei mix, so do not know what to expect. We arrived at 8 weeks and is now 11 weeks old. It seems to get more wrinkles! But I know for sure. Shar Pei do not normally receive more or less wrinkled with age, or are simply born with all the wrinkles that will take and what is it? It is mixed terrier (terrier or rat terrier likely). It almost looks like a lab puppy with one ear hole. It has some light wrinkles in the head and deeper wrinkles around the mouth and neck. While standing, the wrinkles are almost imperceptible, but when set in reality, the wrinkles of the skin on the back and neck. Puppy already registered in preschool, and we definitely think of obedience. This is a Little Head timid and shy with strangers and the last thing we want is a dog that bites from fear! It will be well socialized insurance.
Wrinkles are less than adults. Many adults have wrinkles on their faces. Since yours is a mixture, most probably less than a purebred - that is a blessing! This race has horrible skin problems because of wrinkles and many have a constant smell to them, for this reason. PS Good luck! I also suggest you join a obedience class and take the dog on frequent walks in the parks to be exposed to other dogs and people to socialize very well. Shar-pei tend to be a dog, difficult to handle (no Social w / other dogs and people) and doing this will greatly help to make better, more friendly dog as an adult.
