I going with my daughter 15 and prefer to stay at B & B in private rather than in an anonymous hotel. Thank you very much for your recommendations.
I think the bed and breakfast is the best way to go to London, when it comes to central accommodation and low cost. Plus you get a breakfast free. I stayed at the hotel in Las Vegas http://www.vegashotel.co.uk/ near Victoria Station. The room was strange since he entered the bathroom to go to bed, but at least it was private, cheap, clean, including breakfast and had a television. The area around and behind Victoria has dozens of similar B & B, and the same can be said of most of the areas surrounding the central station of the town, King's Cross area has loads, it is so close to downtown but close to transport. Stay near Victoria is a good idea because of all transport links and is a safety zone. http://www.4hotels.co.uk is a good place to start B & B shopping. It can also Browse the London area. The larger sites such as www.hotels.com, www.expedia.com, etc. usually have ads for a B & B in London also. I also recommend the Hotel San Simeon B & B in Kensington http://www.stsimeon.com/. The B & B has spacious rooms, beautiful lobby, great breakfast and was in a beautiful part of town, just outside Gloucester Map subway station. The rates for these types of pension usually start at about £ 40 ($ 80) for a room double. Cheers!
