How do I take care of a Primula acaulis hybrid mixture?
I have one of these plants as a gift and I think we have problems to find specific information about how to care for them. Someone knows how? Thank you:) I really want to keep in a pot if possible.
It is difficult to find specific information. on it because most garden books say is Primula acaulis the same as Primula vulgaris ... That's what I know: Plant in partial shade with moist soil (but it can have on dry soil conditions as well). Bog and deer tolerant. They do not like the sun in the summer months, make sure it is the shade during these periods. (My mother plants under the roses that are in the sun, when the roses are bare in winter and shade when the pink sheet again). Hardy to USDA Z6 or less. Use in borders, containers, planters and forest settings. Generally, about 6-8 inches tall. Hope this helps!
