Is there a way to remove paint from a wooden antique furniture without damaging the stained wood underneath?
When I was child, I painted my great grandmothers corner shelf with pink paint (latex, I think.) Now I am older, I know how it was terrible to describe. The platform of solid wood. But I do not know the wood type. It was red with a black spot before being painted over. Now, I would try to return to the original state if possible. I hope someone can tell how to remove paint.
You must remove any paint or by sanding or with a paint remover that you brush your teeth and scraping, but in any case, old does not sully the love too. Your best bet is to try to re-stain the furniture to its original color, then painted. Remember that the stain darkens with age, so that may not be able to match exactly.
