Are we crazy to buy a bank owned home that needs a lot of changes?
My husband and I have searched the houses for the last year (nothing serious), but can rarely find a house we can hear. He found a house belonging to the bank of $ 75,000 with three bedrooms Bedroom bathroom, 1.5 story, three buildings and not to speak of 2.98 acres. This thing needs a lot of cosmetic work ... new siding carpet, new drywall in most rooms, new windows. Also, do not come with all appliances. I'm happy with cooking is Cabnet are new, they are cheap and I do not even installed properly. It is also the country you need a water softener. The Monthly payment for this would be only about 200 more than we pay today, but will not really extra money to play with regard fixing the place as fast as I would like (with-in the first year). My husband is a carpenter who could make repairs so many years. Is good idea? I am afraid that just repairs too. Ideas?
