Why is it so uncomfortable for Western Horsemanship me?
English've traveled since I was 5 (now 22). I made some of the West here and there, but I never felt comfortable in a western saddle. I prefer to ride bareback / bridless Travel and jumping in a western saddle. And it's a serious question! Everything starts with the assembly, I feel like a beginner, I have to use a stepladder to mount a horse 14HH, then the huge horn that horrifies me feel trapped, can not always keep your feet in stirrups and my leg is flexible. When traveling English, I feel safe and heels are down. It does not support the trot to sit on a saddle of the West, the publication is that I feel at ease. This whole experience is quite upset. Western riding is something that people have to get used to? Or I'm just saying for fun on the West? I just moved into a farm that does not play / barrel racing, so I wanted to try, but, of course, I can not in an English saddle. I prefer to go bareback in the barrels. lol.
Ma-am, which has just begun on the wrong side of the track. The English used their horses to the sport. The West has used his horse to work. A steeplechase or fox hunting, or anything that lasts not all day with a tour Night Watch. A cowboy does not have the privilege to publish, ect ... I had to take a nap whenever and wherever he could, and many time was on a saddle. So Western Saddle is made for comfort for those who can remember riding school. Hope this helps and God bless.
